These Website Terms and Online Store Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of hi-studios.com (the “Website”) and purchases made through its online store. The Website is operated by HI-Studios LLC (“HI-Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located in Marin County, California.
By using the Website or placing an online order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Custom commissions, design services, installation, and other project-based work may be governed by a separate written agreement.
1. Website Use
You may use the Website for lawful personal and business purposes related to learning about HI Studios, contacting us, and purchasing products. You may not interfere with the Website, attempt unauthorized access, submit false information, use the Website for fraud or unlawful activity, or copy website content for commercial use without written permission.
2. Product Information and Handcrafted Variations
We work to present product descriptions, dimensions, photographs, prices, and availability accurately. Products made from natural wood and handcrafted materials may have variations in grain, color, live edges, knots, checks, texture, epoxy patterns, and finish. These natural or handmade characteristics are not defects when they are consistent with the product description and photographs. An item that is damaged, incorrect, or materially different from its listing remains eligible for an appropriate remedy.
3. Orders, Pricing, and Payment
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars, and applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. Payment is processed through a third-party payment provider. An automated confirmation means we received your order; it does not guarantee final acceptance. We may cancel an order because of a pricing or listing error, payment problem, suspected fraud, unavailable inventory, or inability to fulfill the order. If we cancel after collecting payment, we will issue a full refund to the original payment method.
4. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping charges, methods, and estimated timing are shown on the product page, at checkout, or in an order communication. We will use reasonable care in packaging and fulfillment. If we cannot ship within the stated time, or within the period required by law when no time is stated, we will notify you and provide the choice to accept the delay or cancel the unshipped order for a full refund.
You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and reasonable delivery information. Contact us promptly if an address needs to be corrected before shipment.
5. Returns, Refunds, and Order Problems
Unless a product page clearly states that an item is final sale, you may request a return within 14 calendar days after delivery. Returned items must be unused, unaltered, and in the condition received. For a preference-based return, the customer is responsible for return shipping. Opened consumable care products are not returnable unless damaged, defective, or incorrect.

When the problem is our responsibility or occurred in transit, HI-Studios will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement, return shipping, a price adjustment accepted by you, or a refund. 6. Intellectual Property
The Website’s text, photographs, designs, logos, product images, graphics, and other content are owned by or licensed to HI-Studios and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view the Website and keep ordinary purchase records for your own use. You may not reproduce, publish, sell, scrape, or commercially exploit Website content without written permission.

The Website may use or link to third-party payment, hosting, shipping, analytics, social-media, or other services. Those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy practices. HI-Studios is responsible for its own obligations but does not control third-party websites or services.
8. Website Availability and Disclaimers
We may update, correct, suspend, or discontinue Website content or features. We do not promise that the Website will always be available or free from errors. Product rights and remedies are governed by these Terms, the applicable product listing, and the law; a Website interruption does not remove an accepted order or an existing customer right.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, HI-Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. For a claim arising from an online product purchase, our total liability will not exceed the amount paid for the product and related services giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, breach of a nonwaivable legal duty, or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
California law governs these Terms, without applying rules that would select another jurisdiction’s law. Before filing a formal claim, you and HI-Studios agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter through direct written communication, unless urgent relief or a filing deadline makes that impracticable. A claim may be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction. These Terms do not require private arbitration or waive a customer right protected by law.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms for future Website use and purchases. The effective date will appear at the top of this page. The version in effect when an order is placed governs that order unless HI Studios and the customer agree otherwise in writing.
